    Compassionate Care Hospice/Amedisys core values SPIRIT (Service, Passion, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Talent). Our hospice care is delivered by a team of professionals and volunteers. We seek the best possible volunteer candidates for our inspiring and wonderful patients. Under the direction of the patient's physician and our hospice medical director, the team follows a personalized plan of physical, emotional and spiritual care. The plan is continually reviewed and adapted to meet the patient's changing needs.

    About Us

    We are here to provide the best possible care to patients that have six months or less to live, and/or have a life threatening disease. All hospices are contracted with Medicare and must meet the 5 percent of volunteers that is required. We are looking for compassionate volunteers that would offer emotional support and friendship, read and write letters to the patient(s) play games, make telephone calls, and even just sit with the patient and watch his/her favorite television show or listen to music.
