    APOPO is a social enterprise that researches, develops and implements Detection Rats Technology for humanitarian purposes: we train giant pouched rats to safely detect landmines and tuberculosis, thanks to their amazing sense of smell. APOPO’s headquarters and training center are in Tanzania and operations in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola, Ethiopia and Cambodia.

    In 2015, APOPO registers a foundation in Geneva, "the peace capital" renowned for its commitment towards a mine-free world and a global access to health, to support its worldwide operations.
