    District Compost offers a food waste recycling service that doesn't rely on composting facilities, farms, or gardens that pollute or that are far away. We don't make dirty compost full of plastic, foam, and glass pieces that harm the environment more than help. We want to provide Washingtonians the right resources to practice sustainability in their everyday lives. Our mission is to engage the community within the District and to spread awareness on the affects of food waste.
