  • Mission

It’s not just volunteering: it’s friendship building. You can change lives!

    About Us

As a volunteer, you could develop the friendship of a lifetime, by providing patients on hospice with companionship. Typically, we ask our volunteers to spend 1 hour per week with an assigned patient, for a time period of approximately 8 to 12 weeks. If you can’t make the visit that week, no big deal, contact me (Lexi Terwilliger) ahead of time to make an arrangement.

We take our volunteers through a brief training session, to explain the volunteer process in detail. During training we explain hospice philosophy, and what to expect in the patient environment. Volunteering at Integrated Senior Care is a rewarding experience in many different ways. We develop character progression and make friends for life. It’s more than your average volunteer job, you take away so much more wisdom than you started with, and you become much more understanding and compassionate in your everyday life. You can make a difference for these people, and they’ll make a difference for you, too.
