Honeybee Hospice
Mission
Honeybee Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living. Our volunteers help patients maintain the quality of their remaining life by easing fear and loneliness through care, comfort, companionship, and practical support. Hospice is not a place, it is a philosophy that affirms life while neither hastening nor postponing death.
About Us
Our interdisciplinary team includes Medical Directors, Nurses, Care Aides, Social Workers, Spiritual Counselors, and Volunteers. Everyone on the team plays a role in meeting the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. As a volunteer, you will be able to interact with patients and families in an endless variety of ways including: music therapy, arts & crafts, life story projects, holding vigil, reading aloud, helping to make phone/video calls to long-distance loved ones, and so much more.
