"Mom, You're Not Alone" was born from a simple observation: too many Ukrainian children are falling behind in school, not because they can't learn, but because no one has time to help them.
Their mothers are working multiple jobs to keep the family afloat. Their fathers might be at the front, defending our country. Their families might have been displaced by war, struggling to adapt to new schools and new lives.
These children need support. And we're here to provide it.
WHAT WE DO:
We connect volunteer tutors with Ukrainian children who need educational support. Our volunteers — students, teachers, professionals, and native speakers — provide free one-on-one or small group lessons online.
We help with:
Everything is conducted online via Zoom or Google Meet, making it accessible regardless of location. Sessions are flexible, scheduled around both the volunteer's and child's availability.
WHY WE EXIST:
Education shouldn't be a privilege. Every child deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their family's economic situation or the challenges they face.
We believe in the power of individual attention. Sometimes all a child needs is one person who believes in them, who patiently explains the concept one more time, who celebrates their small victories.
We're not a huge organization with massive funding. We're a grassroots movement of people who care. Every volunteer matters. Every hour makes a difference.
OUR IMPACT:
Since our founding, we've connected volunteers with families who had nowhere else to turn. We've seen children's grades improve, confidence grow, and mothers finally able to breathe knowing their kids have support.
But we're just getting started. There are more children waiting, more families hoping for help.
OUR VALUES:
WHO WE SERVE:
WHO OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE:
University students who remember struggling with subjects themselves.
Teachers who have extra time and big hearts.
Native speakers who want to share their language.
Young people who want to make a difference.
Anyone with patience, knowledge, and 1-2 hours a week to spare.
THE FOUNDER'S STORY:
This project was created by a Ukrainian teenager who saw neighbors, classmates, and friends struggling. Instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem, she decided to act.
It started with one volunteer and one child. Now it's growing into a community of people who believe that together, we can ensure no child is left behind.
JOIN US:
Whether you want to volunteer as a tutor, spread the word, or partner with us — there's a place for you in this movement.
Because when we support one child, we change one family. When we support many children, we change our future.
Mom, you're not alone. And neither are your children.
💛💙
