    Description

    Mom, You're Not Alone

“Mom, You Are Not Alone” is a volunteer-driven initiative providing free educational support to children whose mothers are affected by war, single parenthood, or financial hardship in Ukraine. Many families are struggling: mothers work multiple jobs, children fall behind in school, and there’s no one to help with homework or provide emotional support.

We connect caring volunteers with children (ages 6-16) for online tutoring sessions, helping them master difficult subjects while their parents work. Our sessions go beyond academics — we create small support groups where children can connect, share experiences, and feel less isolated during these challenging times.

    What we need from volunteers:

    Educational Support (Tutors & Mentors):

∙ Help children with homework (math, languages, science, etc.) via Zoom/Google Meet

∙ Host small group activities (art, reading clubs, games) to build community

∙ Commit to 2-4 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Content Creators & Social Media Team:

∙ Create engaging TikTok and Instagram content showcasing our impact (video editing, graphic design, photography)

∙ Film testimonials, behind-the-scenes moments, and educational snippets (faces can remain private)

∙ Write captions, manage posts, and engage with our community

∙ Develop creative campaigns to attract both volunteers and families in need

∙ Commit to 3-5 hours per week (remote, flexible)

    Requirements for all volunteers:

∙ Speak Ukrainian, Russian, or English

∙ Be patient, empathetic, and reliable

∙ Passion for helping children and families

    What volunteers gain:

∙ Official volunteer certificate for university/job applications

∙ Meaningful impact on children’s lives during wartime

∙ Experience in online education, mentoring, or digital marketing

∙ Portfolio-building opportunity for content creators (you can showcase your work!)

∙ Opportunity to connect with international volunteers

∙ Personal growth and leadership skills

No teaching or professional content creation experience required — just a caring heart, creativity, and willingness to help. We provide guidance, resources, and ongoing support for all volunteers.

Our vision: As we grow, we plan to partner with cafés offering free spaces for mothers to relax, organize fundraisers for school supplies, collaborate with native English speakers for language practice, and expand to help children in other regions.

Join us in supporting Ukrainian families. Every hour you give — whether teaching a child or sharing our story online — makes a real difference.
