Mission Statement Climate Kills Initiatives (CKI) is a youth-led non-profit dedicated to mitigating the acute health risks faced by unsheltered populations due to the accelerating climate crisis. We bridge the gap between environmental research and direct humanitarian aid through specialized "Climate-Resilience Care Packages" and community-led air quality audits.

About Us Founded on the principle of Climate-Health Justice, CKI recognizes that the environmental crisis is a public health emergency—one that disproportionately impacts those without permanent housing. While traditional relief focuses on general needs, CKI utilizes current medical and environmental data to provide targeted preventative care for specific climate-driven pathways, including:

• Respiratory Protection: Mitigating PM2.5 exposure from wildfire smoke and urban smog.
• Thermal Stress: Providing advanced heat-retention gear for extreme cold and dampness.
• Dermatological Health: Preventing infections caused by prolonged exposure to moisture.

What We Do Our operations are divided into two high-impact tracks:

1. The Research Track: Our volunteers conduct "Micro-Environment Audits," gathering real-time air quality data at transit hubs and encampments. This data creates a "Hotspot Map" that dictates where our resources are most urgently needed.
2. The Action Track: We fundraise for and assemble specialized kits containing research-backed items (N95 respirators, antifungal care, thermal wool-blend gear, and waterproof backpacks) for distribution through our network of shelter partners, such as the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission.
