Daniel's Keys to Kindness

  • About Us

Daniel's Keys to Kindness, commonly referred to as Daniel’s Keys, is the first music program of its kind to offer students piano lessons in combination with kindness discussions and activities. Between weekly lessons, students not only practice for their upcoming piano lessons, but they carry out daily acts of kindness.

We also believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of learning how to play a musical instrument. Therefore, lessons are provided at no cost for those experiencing financial hardships.

Daniel's Keys is named in honor of Daniel Allen, a remarkable young man, who passed away unexpectedly in 2019 at the age of 27. He is known to friends and family for his extraordinary kindness. Daniel was also an extremely gifted musician, and we strive to follow his lead in spreading his light throughout the world by combining music lessons with kindness activities.

Daniel's Keys currently operates in three locations - the Sounds of Carolina Music Academy, the Phillis Wheatley Community Center, and in its East Greenville home studio. We are looking for volunteers to add to our already existent program in working with children in the after school program at the Phillis Wheatley Community Center.
