About Us
The Lady Liberty Sings group's mission is to organize a large-scale national installation on Facebook, highlighting threats to due process for immigrants...through song. We are gathering 1,000+ original musical compositions (videos from across the U.S. - set to the poem of Emma Lazarus, inscribed on the Statue of Liberty (or any other compositions reflecting the intent of those words) This project will serve as a digital protest and a fundraiser for immigrant legal defense. (Intended beneficiary - the ACLU)
This FB page was set up in 2017 but an accident put me out of commission. Now it feels even more vital to relaunch the effort.
