Stop Cop City — Bay Area

  • About Us

Stop Cop City — Bay Area is a grassroots coalition of community members, organizers, artists, educators, healers, youth, and elders working to halt the construction of a $45 million regional police training facility in San Pablo, CA.

This “Bay Area Regional Training Center” is being rapidly built—with completion expected by early Summer 2025—and includes:

    • A 10,000 sq. ft., 20-lane gun range
    • A VR “use of force” simulator
    • Drone base and surveillance systems
    • Emergency Operations Command infrastructure
    • Gym, sauna, and private facilities for law enforcement

This facility will not make our communities safer. It will expand militarized policing across the East Bay—impacting Black, Brown, Indigenous, and working-class communities in cities from San Pablo to Santa Rosa.

We need help demanding that this site be repurposed into a publicly owned, community-driven resource hub. A space for healing, learning, mutual aid, food access, child care, youth programming, cultural work, and care—not criminalization.

    Our mission is to:

    • Stop Cop City from opening in San Pablo
    • Prevent regional carceral expansion
    • Build grassroots power through abolitionist education and direct action
    • Reclaim public land and public money for public good

We organize mass canvasses, teach-ins, public comment campaigns, youth and elder engagement, healing spaces, and creative resistance actions. Our coalition believes deeply in the power of collective care, intergenerational solidarity, and radical imagination.

Whether you’re a healer, educator, policy tracker, street canvasser, cultural worker, artist, or new to organizing—you belong here. We believe everyone has a role in this movement.

Join us in demanding a future free of Cop Cities—one rooted in justice, community, and liberation.
