About Us
YouthTones is a Bay Area–based, student-led nonprofit that provides free music lessons to children ages 5–15. All lessons are taught by high school musicians who volunteer their time and talent to give back to the community. We believe music should be joyful, inclusive, and accessible—regardless of income or background.
Our values include kindness, creativity, patience, and community. Through YouthTones, kids build confidence, make musical progress, and form connections with mentors close to their age. We offer virtual and in-person lessons, and we are proud to create a space where both students and teachers grow through music.
