Rohingya Youth Union-RYU

The Rohingya Youth Union (RYU) is a youth-led, refugee-founded organization dedicated to empowering the Rohingya community through education, leadership, advocacy, and peacebuilding. Established by passionate Rohingya youth, RYU envisions a generation that is informed, united, and capable of shaping a brighter and more dignified future for their people.

We believe that young people are key agents of change. Through our programs, we focus on building knowledge, leadership skills, and community awareness among Rohingya youth to strengthen their participation in decision-making processes and social development.

RYU works to promote equality, justice, and coexistence among all communities in Arakan (Rakhine State) and beyond. We serve displaced and marginalized Rohingya youth, offering platforms for learning, dialogue, and collaboration to advance peace, human rights, and sustainable development in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our values are rooted in unity, dignity, non-violence, inclusivity, and self-determination, reflecting our deep commitment to empowering our community through peaceful means and collective action.
