About Us
Children's Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE) is a community organization that aims to work toward a world without child abuse. CARE is a new organization that helps survivors of child abuse heal and thrive as their most unapologetically confident selves. CARE serves children but also former children (survivors who are now adults) as the effects of child abuse can have lasting effects. As CARE continues to grow and develop as an organization, programs will continue to be rolled out including:
- Pen Pal Program - a program to connect survivors with each other to feel a greater sense of community. The program will provide survivors with a friend who shares or has shared similar experiences.
- Mentor Program - a program to provide survivors of child abuse with licensed, trauma-informed professionals to reconnect with their inner selves. The Mentor Program will place a heavy emphasis on building the confidence of every mentee and providing the necessary tools for each mentee to thrive.
CARE is a non-profit-in-progress and plans to have 501(c)(3) status in 2026. Until 501(c)(3) status is confirmed, CARE is referred to as a community organization/group.
