Instructional Consultant - Math (K–12; Part-Time)

Ideal Instruction partners with schools to grow teachers and leaders through job-embedded coaching, professional learning, and scalable instructional systems. We focus on what works in real classrooms to drive strong outcomes for students.

Role Description

This is a part-time, in-person role supporting NYC public schools. Instructional Consultants provide job-embedded coaching to teachers and leaders across K–12, helping schools strengthen instruction, implement curriculum effectively, and improve student outcomes. Most work takes place during school hours, with some flexibility for remote planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience teaching math in a K–12 setting (teacher and/or leader)
• 2–3+ years of instructional coaching or leadership experience
• Proven track record of improving student outcomes
• Experience designing or delivering professional development
• Strong understanding of high-quality instruction across content areas
• Ability to build relationships and provide practical, actionable feedback
• Passion for working in a fast-paced, growing organization
