    Description

    Temporary Knowledge Management Officer

    Part-Time | Hybrid NYC | Approximately 16 Hours/Week | $34–$39/hr | Approximately 4 Months

A mission-driven public health organization is seeking a Temporary Knowledge Management Officer to support a major intranet redesign and content organization project.

This is a hands-on project focused on reviewing, organizing, categorizing, and preparing a large volume of existing organizational documents and content. The person in this role will work through policies, SOPs, how-to materials, operational resources, and other internal documentation to help determine what is current, what should be archived, who owns each document, and how information should be categorized and tagged for the new intranet.

This role is a TEMPORARY position through TSS. You would be employed and paid by our company and working directly with our client. You can apply via our website.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Review and organize a large volume of documents and internal content
    • Identify current, outdated, duplicate, or archival materials
    • Categorize and tag content using appropriate metadata and taxonomy
    • Work within SharePoint document libraries, including permissions and content organization
    • Track document ownership and coordinate with departments to confirm information
    • Support content mapping and migration from legacy platforms into SharePoint
    • Assist with content governance, change management, and other project coordination as needed

    We’re looking for someone with:

    • Strong, hands-on SharePoint Online experience, particularly document libraries, permissions, metadata, tagging, and content organization. This is required and non-negotiable
    • Experience with knowledge management, content/document management, information governance, internal communications, or similar work
    • Experience organizing and reviewing large volumes of information
    • Strong attention to detail and comfort with methodical, repetitive document review
    • Ability to work across departments to gather information, identify document owners, and keep a project moving
    • Strong communication and project coordination skills
    • Microsoft 365 proficiency

You do not need to have held a Knowledge Management title. Relevant experience may come from operations, communications, program/project management, information management, or another function. This is also not a SharePoint developer or IT administrator position.

The assignment is expected to last approximately four months. The schedule is approximately 16 hours per week, including a full day onsite in Lower Manhattan on Wednesdays. Remaining hours can be scheduled flexibly during normal business hours. A laptop will be provided.

    Pay: $34–$39/hr
