About the Position
The Associate I will work as a core member of GPG project teams. Projects may include research and analysis; policy development; strategic and organizational planning; meeting design, facilitation, and documentation; partnership development and support; sustainability planning; and fund development. This position is ideal for a well-organized, creative, and driven individual who can balance simultaneous work on multiple projects for different clients. This is a remote position. The Associate I must reside in one of the states where GPG already has an employee, including: CA, CO, IL, NY, or PA.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Support project leads to design meetings with clients and project partners
- Support facilitation and/or document in person and virtual client meetings and breakout sessions
- Coordinate logistics for in person and hybrid meetings and events
- Contribute to the development of high-quality project deliverables such as written reports, plans, and proposals
- Support project leads to plan and implement input activities such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and meetings
- Collect and organize information from secondary sources such as public datasets and reports
- Analyze primary and secondary data to determine and articulate themes and other insights
- Communicate with other GPG team members, clients, and clients’ partners or interest holders in person and via email, phone, and video conference
- Work independently and through virtual environments to complete tasks, meet deadlines, and help advance projects
- Build positive working relationships with GPG clients and team members
- Attend conferences
- Network in support of GPG business
- Contribute to the development of project proposals / scopes and budgets
- Build and strengthen client relationships
- Travel occasionally for client and internal meetings and conferences
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and in a virtual environment

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to quickly understand project context and gain familiarity with relevant background information and research
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Zoom
- Comfort with public speaking
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity
- Experience working with the public, nonprofit, and/or philanthropic sectors
- Experience working in the education, workforce development, human services, and/or health (including behavioral health) fields
