    Rosemarie Resnik & Associates, Inc. seeks a Grant Writer.

    Rosemarie Resnik and Associates, Inc., located in Osterville, MA, seeks a Grant Writer in the New England area, preferably in MA. The Grant Writer will have primary accountability for the composition and compilation of grant submissions with clients.

    This is a remote position that meets with two other grant writers to share information and strategy. The starting rate is commiserated with experience. Hours per week range from 10 to 15 to start, expanding to 30 hours over the next several months. However, we will consider hiring a couple of grant writers to fulfill our needs.     The grant writer needs to communicate clearly and persuasively about the client organizations and their programs. Juggling hard deadlines and understanding budgets are also key skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Review the current list of submitted grants to determine their acceptance status.
    • Develop an annual foundation calendar including priorities and deadlines.
    • Identify and research prospective funders aligned with clients’ fundraising goals. Determine ask amounts, prioritize, and add funders as needed to meet contracted targets.
    • Manage full grant lifecycle, ensuring timely, high-quality, and persuasive submissions.
    • Create base proposals for client programs or funding priorities.
    • Draft grant proposals and applications as contracted.
    • Submit drafts to clients for review and approval.
    • Compile and prepare required documentation packages.
    • Submit applications by the deadline.
    • Team members must provide final application packages.
    • Track and report submission status by assigned staff.
    • Monitor annual grants income goals and proposal deadlines; grow and broaden the foundation prospect pipeline.
    • Update the master grant calendar and track key milestones.
    • Copyedit, proofread, and coordinate all submissions.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Minimum three years of grant writing experience at a nonprofit. An associate's degree or some college is preferred; a bachelor's degree is desirable.
    • Demonstrated excellence in written communication, with the ability to organize information into clear, concise, and persuasive narratives. Extensive grant-writing experience is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Google Drive is required.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, along with strong writing and editing abilities, is essential.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently and effectively at a high level is essential.
    • Attention to detail, multitasking, prioritizing, and thriving under deadlines are essential.
    • Dedication to producing quality work within established deadlines in a confidential setting is required.
    • Familiarity with Cape Cod's geography is considered beneficial.
