    Description

True Impact (www.trueimpact.com) is a social impact reporting platform and network used by Fortune 500 companies like eBay, PepsiCo, and PIMCO to quantify the social impact of grants, volunteerism, and other philanthropic giving to demonstrate success and identify opportunities for improvement.

We're seeking a full time social impact manager to own a portfolio of corporate donor clients, supporting them through platform implementation, measurement strategy, and reporting analysis.

This is an ideal opportunity to join a highly collaborative, remote-first team as we scale our network and deepen the value we deliver to donors, nonprofits, and the broader social impact sector.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of program evaluation, consulting, or client-facing experience in the social sector
    • Demonstrated success in translating organizational needs and leading advisory support or capacity building efforts
    • Strong organizational and self-management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively across multiple projects and stakeholder relationships
    • Track record of navigating complex stakeholder environments and balancing diverse expectations
    • Proven experience communicating complex ideas and analyses clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
    • Experience using data analysis and visualization tools — such as Tableau, AWS QuickSight, or equivalent — to translate program data into accessible insights for non-technical client audiences
    • Skilled at identifying operational inefficiencies and turning annoyances into improvements
    • Comfort and experience in a 100% remote team environment, managing projects through Zoom calls, Slack messaging, Google document sharing, and Confluence knowledge management
    • The ability to work with a primarily EST time zone, with our common work hours from 12 - 4 pm EST
    • Desirable: Experience managing a named SaaS account portfolio or book of business with a focus on client value, retention, and deepening impact over time

    Your Role on the Team

The Social Impact Manager is the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of corporate donor clients, helping them implement and optimize the use of our measurement platform and methodology. In this role, you will translate client needs into aligned, scalable solutions leveraging our proprietary measurement platform and advisory practice, ensuring that contracted work is delivered with quality, clarity, and discipline. This role requires sound judgement in navigating complex stakeholder environments and balancing rigor, feasibility, and long-term sustainability, collaborating frequently with internal team members, client measurement leads, and nonprofit partners.

What Your First Few Months Will Look Like

You’ll work closely with the Social Impact team to get familiar with our measurement platform, methodology, and processes. As you become familiar with our reporting approach and client accounts, you’ll partner with current managers in preparation for assuming day to day management of corporate and private foundation client accounts.

As part of understanding our methodology, you will gain exposure to nonprofit reporting workflows, our report feedback approach, and our client launch process. After your first reporting launch, you’ll learn to configure and develop data analyses using AWS QuickSight to generate insights that inform client reporting and strategic conversations. Across the first 3-6 months, you will inherit a portfolio of clients to manage with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, and will begin leaning into internal process improvement and capacity development initiatives.

We are intense about continuous improvement, and use frequent team meetings to work problems together. Be prepared to provide a reflection on how you want to make the orientation stage better for the next person by the end of your first month. Like all good measurement nerds, we love feedback.

    About True Impact

Every year companies invest billions of dollars in cash, volunteerism, and in-kind donations to help support philanthropic causes they truly care about. However, charities lack standardized outcome metrics, making it impossible to determine which initiatives have the greatest impact.

True Impact is a measurement and reporting network that enables nonprofits to quantify their impact and supports companies in analyzing and communicating the results (via layperson-friendly dashboards and analytics). We help both donors and grantees prove the value of their philanthropic activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and direct future investment decisions to maximize social impact.

True Impact is based in Boston, MA, but is a 100% remote company, with team members around the world.

True Impact is an Equal Opportunity employer. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.

    Benefits

True Impact offers 20 days PTO plus 10 company holidays, with schedule flexibility outside of core hours (12–4pm EST). We are a fully remote team.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance through Justworks, along with dependent care FSA, HSA, One Medical, and BetterHelp. Employees are eligible to participate in our equity program.

Additional benefits include separate sick leave, paid parental leave, and a sabbatical program for long-tenured employees.
