    • Initial term: Three-month pilot
    • Time commitment: Up to 20 hours per month

I am a founder seeking an experienced, proactive operations and growth specialist to help build and manage a growing portfolio of purpose-driven businesses, brands, and client engagements, including Sakura Wellness Solutions, Project Edquity, and the emerging Mimosa Moms lifestyle and media brand.

This person will serve as the operational backbone of the portfolio. The role will focus on project management, client coordination, business operations, financial administration, business development, and creating the systems needed to support sustainable growth.

The right person will turn ideas and priorities into clear project plans, manage timelines and deliverables, maintain strong communication with clients and partners, oversee essential operational processes, track opportunities and follow-ups, and build repeatable systems that keep the work organized and moving forward.

This is an opportunity to join at the ground level and help build the operational foundation for a portfolio that includes consulting, leadership and wellness, speaking, media, and community-based ventures. I am looking for someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, creates order from evolving ideas, and is excited to grow alongside the businesses.

The position will begin as a part-time, virtual independent contractor engagement at $40 per hour for up to 20 hours per month. In addition to hourly compensation, the contractor will receive an uncapped 5% bonus on eligible business revenue received and cleared from clients while the engagement is active.

As the portfolio generates revenue, there may be opportunities for additional hours, expanded responsibility, increased compensation, and potential advancement into a more senior operations role.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage projects, workplans, timelines, deliverables, and follow-through across multiple businesses and client engagements
    • Create and maintain project-management systems, operating processes, dashboards, templates, and standard procedures
    • Support client relationships through scheduling, onboarding, communications, meeting preparation, deliverable tracking, and follow-up
    • Maintain business-development, client, speaking, partnership, and media-opportunity pipelines
    • Research and qualify consulting leads, RFPs, speaking engagements, podcasts, partnerships, and other growth opportunities
    • Support proposals, presentations, outreach, client materials, and routine business communications
    • Coordinate the development and launch of emerging brands, programs, and future business initiatives
    • Update and maintain websites, landing pages, forms, and digital content
    • Develop content calendars and create, schedule, and monitor social media content using tools such as Canva
    • Help build brand awareness through consistent content, community engagement, strategic outreach, and partnership development
    • Organize contacts, digital files, meetings, brand assets, and business records
    • Anticipate needs, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions that strengthen operations and support revenue growth
    • Provide concise weekly updates covering progress, priorities, opportunities, outstanding decisions, and next steps

    Ideal Candidate

I am a human-centered, equity-driven leader who believes that healthy people build healthy organizations and that high performance should not require self-abandonment. My work is grounded in integrity, wellness, community, inclusion, excellence, and sustainable impact. I am looking for someone who shares these values and will bring care, accountability, sound judgment, and respect to the businesses, clients, and communities we serve.

    • Aligns with the values of human-centered leadership, equity, wellness, integrity, inclusion, community, and sustainable growth
    • Has supported a founder, consultant, or growing small business
    • Has experience with project management, client relations, website management, and social media
    • Is an excellent writer, researcher, communicator, and organizer
    • Works independently, takes initiative, and consistently follows through
    • Can turn evolving ideas into clear plans, systems, and next steps
    • Can manage competing priorities and confidently recommend what matters most
    • Builds trusting, professional relationships with clients, partners, and collaborators
    • Handles sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
    • Is comfortable working across multiple brands and adapting to different audiences and voices
    • Is excited to join at the ground level and help build purpose-driven businesses
    • Wants to grow in responsibility and impact as the portfolio and revenue expand
    • Can provide a portfolio, work samples, and client references demonstrating relevant experience

    The Growth Opportunity

This role is designed for someone who is excited by the opportunity to help build—not simply maintain—an emerging portfolio of purpose-driven businesses, brands, and intellectual property.

The engagement will begin as a three-month fractional contractor assignment for up to 20 hours per month. As business revenue and activity grow, there may be opportunities for expanded hours, greater ownership of projects, increased compensation, and an evolving leadership role within the portfolio.

The right person will be interested in growing alongside the businesses. They will enjoy taking an idea from conversation to project plan, from project plan to launch, and from launch to a sustainable operating system. They will bring initiative, curiosity, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to contribute to the long-term development of the work.

No particular level of future work or employment is guaranteed. However, Carmen’s intention is to develop a trusted working relationship with someone who could take on increasing responsibility as the portfolio grows.
