    Job Title: Finance Associate

    Location: Remote

    Position Type: Full-Time, Eastern Standard Time Zone Workday

    Job Summary: The Finance Associate will play a critical role in supporting our nonprofit clients, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to approach financial operations with a problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through complex payment and financial processes, identifying discrepancies, and helping improve day-to-day operations in a fast-moving environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with all aspects of accounts payable, including payment approvals, invoice processing, and vendor management.
    • Understand the relationship between accounts payable and regulatory requirements associated with federal and state finance laws
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
    • Investigate discrepancies, identify the root cause, and work with internal teams to resolve them efficiently.
    • Month end reconciliation of credit card statements
    • Maintain accurate financial records and files in existing filing system and processes, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with project staff and vendors regarding invoicing requirements, payment status, and other questions or issues
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
    • Assist with other tasks as identified by Bookkeeper and/or Director of Fiscal Services

    Qualifications:

    • Data entry and numerical accuracy
    • Previous experience working on political campaigns or in a non-profit organization is highly desirable
    • Good organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, and identify practical solutions.
    • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, bill.com) and Google Suite
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

    Salary: Ranges from $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
