Professional Profile

Through Antoinette Doyle Consulting I offer more than 25 years of general fundraising experience in the areas of health care, education, historic preservation, social services, faith-based charities and the environment. Since 2001 I have focused my work on foundation relations, providing grant management, prospect research, grant writing, program development, reporting and evaluation.

My years as a fund development generalist have given me an invaluable understanding of what prospective funders require of the nonprofit organizations that they support. This understanding informs both the content of the grants I write and allows me to work with my clients so that they present their overall organization in the most professional and compelling way possible.

As part of the grant writing process, I help my clients gain understanding of what goes into the proposal process: review of proposal guidelines and how to prepare applications, cover letters, budget narrative reports, attachments, etc. I review their financial statements, budgets, and annual giving records to make sure they are ready to approach the foundation prospect in question. I might advise the client to concentrate on building its annual giving program and holding off applying for foundation support until the next year's funding cycle. If indicated, I will recommend that they seek counsel from a non-profit management consultant to help them ensure their financial sustainability while I continue researching additional institutional prospects. As a longstanding member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals/Golden Gate Chapter, I believe that is my ethical responsibility.

Registration: When required by rules related to gross annual client revenue, I register with the State of California Attorney General's Office, Registry of Charitable Trusts, as a fundraising professional.

Fee Schedule:

My fees are flexible and are based on budget of the client organization and the length of the project.
