  • About Us

Brad Taylor Group (BTG) was established in 2017 to offer one-to-one, group, and leadership training, coaching, and consulting to governmental and non-governmental organizations, non-profits, and individuals who are interested in prioritizing safety and self/team-care while improving interactions with individuals in distress from a mental health, substance related, and/or a situational crisis.

Prior to founding BTG, Brad Taylor spent over 20 years supporting and developing relationships with hundreds of people experiencing homelessness, acting as a mobile mental health crisis response worker. Additionally, heserved as the Mental Health Specialist for the City of Portland, Oregon and has trained thousands of individuals and supported dozens of organizations in addressing systemic communication, safety, and self/team-care challenges.

BTG's training sessions, workshops, and coaching relationships allow Brad to share some of the skills, tips, and strategies that helped him to stay safe, maintain appropriate boundaries regarding if, when, and how to engage individuals who are in distress, and to avoid feelings of burn-out and compassion fatigue as he navigated complicated interactions and relationships.
