About Yancey Consulting

Launched in 2001, Yancey Consulting (YC) provides strategic and tactical solutions to nonprofit organizations and philanthropic entities in areas of program development, board development, strategic planning, revenue generation, capacity assessments, marketing & communications, and evaluation/metrics. We primarily work within the arts and culture, social justice, and public-interests technology sectors. Our clients are nationally-based.  

Since 2009, we have committed our practice to work with organizations and individuals whose work improves the lives of historically marginalized communities. We concentrate our impact in four areas 1) illuminating, disempower, and eliminate systemic inequities; 2) amplifying the stories and visibility of leaders; 3) creating viable economic models that diversify revenue streams for short-term, mid-term, and long-term sustainability; and 4) enhancing awareness of institutions led by and serving black, brown, indigenous, and immigrant communities. We strive for generational planning, which means that our strategic lens considers the impact and change implications 20-25 years from now. Our values include collaborative practice, including diverse perspectives, listening to learn, centering local expertise, elevating equity, and providing rigorous analysis.
