Affirmative Investments, Inc. is a specialized investment banking and real estate development firm that works with non-profit organizations and public agencies to develop and finance affordable housing, housing with services, mixed-use developments and commercial properties in low-income neighborhoods. Most of Affirmative’s projects entail complex, multi-tiered financing—including New Markets Tax Credits, historic and low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt financing, and public and private grants and loans—in order to achieve affordability/financeability.
