AUERBACH ENGINEERING CORPORATION (AEC) was established in 1998 in Tahoe City, California by Walter R. Auerbach, PE, who brought 18 years of local experience to the new firm. AEC is now an established consulting firm providing Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Environmental Planning services to primarily government clients throughout the northern and central Sierra Nevada. Our work is currently focused on the Tahoe-Truckee region, where we have a large repeat client base. We pride ourselves in the degree to which our facilitation and proactive customer service have resulted in successful projects for our clients and the community at large.

AEC has extensive experience with federal, state, and local government projects, many of which are grant-based due to the environmental, recreational, or transportation related value. The staff members are well aware of the many challenges that our clients face working with constrained budgets and schedules associated with grant-based funding. AEC is committed to the production of high quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Strong knowledge of local conditions and regulatory requirements is essential to successful positioning of projects. Our team is well versed on the local and regional issues and potential solutions for many complex problems. We have made our lives and raised our families here and are dedicated to our community.
