Our Mission

Hummingbird is the cultural communicator between impacted communities and large-scale projects. We assist in creating safe spaces for idea exchange. We define community as embracing culture and past and present history to communicate with, impact, and evoke fellowship amongst differing perspectives. We take pride in the result that everyone walks away with a "win" when Hummingbird facilitates the engagement process.

Hummingbird Firm was founded in 2016 as a community engagement consulting firm specializing in community engagement, communications, training, strategy and data analytics. Given our collective team expertise, we provide these services in the environmental, energy, planning, development, and transportation industries for private firms, federal agencies, and local municipalities. We use influence to close gaps between companies and communities. We build trust across cultural boundaries, innovating the way groups communicate by moving like a hummingbird: in every direction. Our strategy and training help companies and communities engage with each other to create a lasting positive impact. We show clients how to expect the unexpected, leading to the nimbleness that is essential to work with layers of different cultures. We’re in this business because of influence. It’s the language we speak, and we enjoy the art of translating.
