    Description

Workers Circle Hosts 'NYC Workers Circle Cemetery Walking Tour'

You know the Jewish Left of 2026. But who were the radicals, poets and troublemakers who laid the foundation for our collective work over 100 years ago? And why are so many buried in the same place?

Join the Workers Circle, NYC Jewish Labor Bund, and the Bushwick-Ridgewood Shul for a walking tour of the Workmen’s Circle Section of Old Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Glendale, Queens. The resting place of countless famous Jewish socialists and Yiddish cultural figures, this cemetery offers curious visitors a window into a long-neglected but critically important world of radical Jewish organizing in service of “a shenere un besere velt far ale” – a better and more beautiful world for everyone.

Mavens of Jewish socialist history and absolute newcomers welcome!
