    Description

    Description

DC Trash-Free Communities is a citywide campaign to reduce littering and trash pollution, funded by the DC Department of Energy and Environment and led by Ward 8 Woods Conservancy.

Deanwood, with it's history of community and environmental activism, was chosen as one of five neighborhoods where we're focusing our efforts to change perceptions and habits.

Join Ward 8 Woods and Washington Parks and People on June 13 as we launch the campaign by unveiling newly commissioned artwork, cleaning up a dump site in Marvin Gaye Park, and awarding gift-cards to neighbors who dispose of their trash the right way though "Litter Can Lotto."
