    Description

600 Wishes. One DC Community: December to Remember

Keep your holiday giving local this year.

Nearly 600 children and teens served by Friendship Place have shared a holiday wish through our annual December to Remember gift drive. These are young people right here in the DC community whose families are rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness—and our community can help make their wishes come true.

Unlike a traditional toy drive, December to Remember is personal. Each wish comes directly from an individual child or teen served by Friendship Place. Wishes range from toys and books to art supplies, clothing, sneakers, electronics, and other items specifically requested by young people.

    How does it work?

Beginning October 1, visit Friendship Place's online December to Remember registry and browse the available wishes. You can filter wishes by age, gift type, and price to find one that's right for you.

    Once you've selected a wish:

    1. Choose the wish you'd like to fulfill.
    2. Purchase the requested item from the retailer of your choice.
    3. Ship or deliver your gift to Friendship Place using the instructions provided in your confirmation.
    4. Friendship Place will make sure your gift reaches the child or teen who wished for it.

There is no minimum donation and no required retailer. Whether you fulfill one wish or several, you're helping make the season brighter for a young person in our community.

    Important Dates

    600 Wishes. One DC Community.

For 35 years, Friendship Place has worked to empower people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to rebuild their lives, find stable housing, and move toward lasting independence.

This holiday season, help us show hundreds of local children and teens what can happen when a community shows up for one another.

Every wish is personal. Every gift stays local.

Choose a wish. Make it come true. Make this a December to Remember.
