    Description

    Position Summary:

    ARC seeks a highly organized and collaborative team player to join our Research and Evaluation Division as a Program Analyst to provide program administration, planning, and logistics support for ARC’s academies and institutes initiatives, such as the Appalachian Leadership Institute, the Appalachian STEM Academy at Oak Ridge, the Appalachian Entrepreneurship Academy, and the Appalachian Collegiate Research Initiative. These enhance ARC’s mission by providing experiential learning opportunities, network and skills building, and leadership development for students and individuals in the Appalachian Region. This position will be partnered with states, agencies, community groups, educational institutions, and other stakeholders as needed to implement impactful experiential learning and leadership development models impacting next generation leaders, particularly those in distressed or rural communities in the Appalachian Region. This position reports to the Program Manager, Academies & Institutes.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 2 to 3 years of solid demonstrated project management experience to develop and follow project timelines and produce deliverables.
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience with meeting and event planning, logistics coordination and delivery.
    • Advanced experience using databases and Excel to maintain, track and report program metrics and outcomes as well as maintain reimbursement process.
    • Exceptional writing skills for drafting NOSA’s and Contractor/agreements and implementation process of scoring.
    • Adept knowledge of relevant leadership programs and/or event management, including speaker selection, field experience, networking with local and state officials.
    • Core competencies: accountability, adaptability, collaboration, communication, critical analysis
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and bring an energetic and innovative approach to his or her work.
    • A bachelor’s degree or higher degree in a related field.
    • Successful completion (prior to hire) and maintenance of background security review.
    • Ability to travel (~25%) and possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
