    The Town of Chatham, MA seeks a dedicated and engaged professional to fill the position of Health Inspector within the Health Division of the Department of Natural Resources.

    This position is responsible for enforcing a wide range of federal, state, and local public health and environmental regulations. The Health Inspector performs field inspections related to septic systems, food establishments, housing, pools, beaches, and other regulated facilities. The role includes reviewing permit applications, responding to complaints, monitoring communicable diseases, participating in emergency preparedness planning, and acting on behalf of the Health Agent when needed. This position also provides staff support to the Board of Health and may attend meetings as required.

    This benefits and pension eligible position is 40 hours per week and is covered under the Chatham Municipal Employees Association. Starting annual salary $74,089.60 - $77,084.80 paid at a biweekly rate of $2,849.60 - $2,964.80 depending on qualifications and experience.
