Houston Mayor's Office of Education Initiatives

  • About Us

A solid education helps provide better jobs, better pay, and gives citizens more opportunity and choices for their lives. That is why the Mayor has worked so hard with schools, community organizations and businesses to help students graduate from high school. The Mayor's Office of Education Initiatives strives to reach out to dropouts, encourage middle school and high school students to develop a graduation game plan, and provide college and career planning. The Mayor's programs help students find the resources and encouragement that they need not only to receive their high school diploma but also to be the success story that every Houstonian dream about.
