Adams County Foster Care
Mission
About Us
Adams County Child Welfare is excited to announce we have earned the All Children- All Families Human Rights Campaign Foundation seal for our dedication to promoting LGBTQ-inclusive policies and affirming practices in our child welfare program. The seals represent the Adams County foster families and staff’s commitment to ensuring that the LGBTQ Community is wanted and welcomed to participate as foster and adoptive families.
We are always in need of people who can provide a stable and caring home to children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Foster care provides children with a temporary time to heal until they can return home, be adopted, or live independently. It is a way of providing a family life for children who cannot live with their own parents. Foster care is used to provide temporary care while parents get help sorting out problems, or to help children or young people through a difficult period in their lives.
