WHAT'S TO KNOW ABOUT MARIN HOUSING
The Marin Housing Authority, located in central Marin County within 30 minutes of San Francisco, is a public corporation established in 1942. Our purpose is to assist low- and moderate-income residents of Marin County to secure and maintain quality affordable housing. We are a small, dynamic agency, well-respected in our field. We serve over 12,000 people through a wide range of programs and services including information and referral, rental assistance payments, public housing for families, seniors and disabled, supportive housing services for special needs populations, and financial and technical assistance for moderate-income first-time homebuyers and low-income homeowners. We have 56 employees. Marin Housing’s Board of Commissioners consists of the five elected County Board of Supervisors and two appointed resident commissioners. Funding sources include federal, state and philanthropic grants and loans.
