Sonoma County Library Adult Literacy Program

  • About Us

The Sonoma County Library Adult Literacy Program provides one-on-one tutoring for adults who wish to improve their literacy skills. We focus on four components of literacy: reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Our program is learner centered. We work with each student to accomplish his or her specific goals. Volunteers are needed to work with adult learners to help them gain the independence and confidence that come with improved literacy.

Training, books and materials are provided free for all tutors and learners. We also offer ongoing workshops and support for all involved.
