Boston Green Academy Horace Mann Charter School
Boston Green Academy (BGA), an exciting Horace Mann (In-District) Charter School in the Boston Public Schools, seeks to prepare students - particularly those who struggle - for the challenges of college and work in the new 'green economy'. With 82% low-income students, 86% students of color, and 82% at-risk due to low academic achievement, BGA's work is to improve the lives of poor and under-served students by providing them a high-quality education. In Fall, 2014 Boston Green Academy moved to the Taft building in the Brighton and began its expansion to include middle grades, starting with 6th grade. By Fall 2017, BGA will be a full 6-12 school.
