Sustainable Renton

Sustainable Renton is non profit organization. We are a group of people who live and/or work in Renton. We care greatly about building a sustainable community-one that fosters connections between people, protects natural resources, and treads as lightly as possible on the Earth.

Our mission is to foster a healthier community and planet.

• “Spabadeed” referred to by the Duwamish People, who originally inhabited this area meaning, ”Little Mountain.” Spabadeed is a developing gardening area. Our goal is to improve community sustainability while developing a healthy environment using permaculture. Since 2009 we planted native plants creating a corridor for wild life. Now we are expanding developing a Food Forest for the community to grow and harvest as a group and share with disadvantaged people. This garden and it's produce is free.
