CASA Volunteers are trained volunteers who are sworn officers of the court and appointed to advocate for the best interests of child victims of abuse and neglect. Through interviews and information gathering, the CASA Volunteer will make sure that the child is getting the services and support they need while in foster care. CASA Volunteers provide the court with a full picture of a child's life and recommend what they think is best for the child through written reports to the Court. As the eyes and ears of the judge, they help aid the judge in making more informed decisions and ensure that the child has a voice in court. The goal of the CASA Program is for children to have a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
