    City Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr. represents the 4th Council District in Philadelphia. His office provides direct service to constituents who are in need of assistance in a variery of areas including foreclosure prevention, trash removal, criminal justice issues, and problems with governmental departments. In addition Councilman Jones authors legislation and resolutions to advocate for the most vulnerable residents of the city. Most notably to date he has spearheaded the creation of the Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program, a local model that has been nationally recognized, to help individuals remain in their homes. He has created local sanctions for witness intimidation, held hearings on aging in place and championed the cause of environmental protection, most recently concerning hydraulic drilling in Marcellus Shale.
