  • About Us

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers (BBO) works to protect the public and promote confidence in the legal profession by overseeing attorney conduct and administering the attorney discipline system in Massachusetts. The BBO relies on both attorneys and members of the public to help ensure that this important work reflects a broad range of perspectives, experiences, and communities. The Board's expenses come solely from the annual registration fees paid by attorneys.
