    The mission of the Ventura County District Attorney's Office is to promote justice and protect the people of the county of Ventura and the State of California by aggressively and fairly prosecuting those who violate the law. We employ individuals of character and courage who provide the highest quality legal representation for the public, steadfastly protect the rights of crime victims, and conscientiously seek to improve the criminal justice system and strengthen our community.

    About Us

    The District Attorney's office prosecutes criminal violations committed in the County of Ventura, including homicide, sexual assault, child abuse/neglect, domestic violence, gang crimes, general felonies (robbery, burglary, narcotics, etc.), misdemeanors (driving under the influence, battery, petty theft, etc.), juvenile cases, major fraud, consumer fraud, and environmental violations.

    The DA's Crime Victims' Assistance Program provides services to victims of crime including assistance in obtaining domestic violence restraining orders, crisis intervention, providing information about the justice system and the case, accompaniment at interviews and in court, processing claims for restitution, and referrals to therapists and other services.
