The Alabama River Lakes Project Office consists of three lakes; Claiborne Lake, Woodruff Lake and the William Dannelly Reservoir. The project starts near Wetumpka, Alabama and the waterway flows into the Tombigbee River near Jackson.
Today, the beautiful waters of the Alabama River Lakes and the surrounding forests provide excellent recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, camping, hunting, and sight-seeing.
Volunteers play a critical role in the success of Alabama River Lakes contributing needed assistance to our staff and without their support we wouldn't be able to accomplish our mission. Every year volunteers work hard to improve the park’s aesthetics with cleanup efforts, assist with wildlife management and help out in countless other ways. If it were not for the dedication of volunteers at Alabama River Lakes, the project would not function as smoothly as it currently does.
