Alabama Goodwill Ambassadors

The International Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, hosts over 120 international military students and their families each year. Alabama Goodwill Ambassadors (AGAs) are community sponsors and volunteers who help these families settle in and adjust to life in the US. AGAs can volunteer to be assigned to an officer and his/her family as a sponsor and true ambassador for the US, in turn shaping our international allies' perceptions of America. They can also assist with the annual International Family Orientation Program (IFOP) Culture Camp, a 7-day program for the children of international officers. AGAs also serve as volunteer English instructors for the International Dependent English Course (IDEC), a 7-week course that takes place each fall.
