About Us

Following the national movement of civic engagement through volunteerism, nonprofit capacity building, leadership, and service-learning, Centers for Student Engagement(CSE)are being established at colleges and Universities across the nation. In Wyoming, the expansion and development of CSEs at three institutions will engage students in civic development, leadership, and volunteerism. CSEs will build relationships with community-based organizations and connect them with student volunteers, faculty teaching service-learning courses, and community Federal Work Study programs. In addition to this, they will expand the capacity of local nonprofits and public entities by recruiting volunteers to provide support and service. CSEs will be a tool in creating civically concerned, motivated, and trained leaders for tomorrow. CSEs will be at one of the following campuses: Laramie County Community College (Cheyenne); Casper College (Casper); or the University of Wyoming (Laramie).
