  • Mission

To provide and facilitate year-round recreation programs for adults and children with disabilities who live in our partner communities. Volunteers assist NSSRA leaders in providing NSSRA seasonal recreation programs for children and adults with disabilities, in a fun, safe environment.

    About Us

NSSRA volunteers are an exceptionally giving group of individuals who are vital to our organization. With volunteer help, NSSRA is able to keep program fees affordable to participants, offer one-to-one instruction when required, and increase NSSRA's programming capacity. Over 75 individuals yearly give their time and talents to NSSRA by volunteering from 1-10 hours a week. This commitment brings each volunteer fulfillment, appreciation, fun and the satisfaction that comes from giving.

    So....

If you are interested in helping individuals with disabilities and you love recreation and enjoy sports, music, and fun...NSSRA has a wonderful volunteer program to assist our staff as they facilitate recreation programs throughout the North Shore for individuals with disabilities. We serve all ages, all disabilities, and participate in TONS of different kinds of activities, sports, events, trips, and recreational based classes all year long!
