    Councilman Ron Nirenberg seeks to balance the needs of the very diverse citizenry in District 8, while helping to harness the rapid growth of this community. He believes the balance will require special attention to aquifer protection and smart growth policies, while also encouraging a business-friendly climate that spurs job creation. Councilman Nirenberg is focused on how City Council can work to improve the quality of life for all San Antonio residents. He is an appointee of the San Antonio Mobility Coalition, the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Alamo Area Council of Governments, BioMedSA and the San Antonio Education Partnership. He serves on the Governance, Intergovernmental Relations, Infrastructure and Growth, and Audit Committees for City Council.
