Mission
In 1910, the approximately 200 householders voted to incorporate their community as Capitol Heights. Over the next 100 years, the Town has made great strides in improving its infrastructure and services. Today, 90% of the population of Capitol Heights is African-American, and the Town has an African-American mayor.
About Us
We are pleased and excited to celebrate the 28th Annual Capitol Heights Day on Saturday, June 8, 2019. This community event celebrates the culture, diversity, and rich heritage of Capitol Heights, MD with a day of celebration. This event includes an exciting parade, a full-day lineup of talented performers, as well as many recreational and amusement activities for every age. We are in need of volunteers to help this event to continue to be of the highest possible quality for the Town of Capitol Heights.
