  • About Us

The Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) is an independent U.S. federal government agency created by the U.S. Congress. The mission of VEF is to strengthen the U.S.-Vietnam bilateral relationship through educational exchanges in the STEMM fields. We carry out our mission by providing opportunities for Vietnamese nationals to pursue graduate and post-graduate studies in these fields in the United States, and for American citizens to teach in the same fields of study in Vietnam. In short, we invest in the human capital of Vietnam and believe that we ourselves will become better from such investment.
