Family Assistance Crisis Team SAPD

  • Mission

The Family Assistance Crisis Team (F.A.C.T.) volunteers have worked since 1991 to eliminate domestic violence in San Antonio. This program offers concerned community volunteers ways to provide crisis intervention services to victims of domestic violence.

    About Us

F.A.C.T. volunteers work once a month on a Friday or Saturday night to provide crisis intervention services for clients coming in for assistance at one of the police substations. Hours are from 6:00PM until 1:00AM or 7:00p.m. - 2:00a.m. Volunteers making this choice are asked to work at least once a month for six months.

After volunteering at least six months in the substation, volunteers are eligible to apply to ride with an officer one Friday or Saturday night 10:30p.m.-6:30 a.m., in place of volunteering in the substation.
